Quality Assurance

Our independent verification and validation group is driven by the theme "We are Custodians of End Users' Interests".

A dedicated group of nearly 300+ Test professionals functionally test and assure quality of applications that run at the core of CenturyLink’s Enterprise/OSS/ BSS layer with a vision to serve customers at work, at home or on the move. These applications range from Ordering Management, Order Validation, Provisioning, Service Assurance and all the other connected systems up to Billing. The applications are developed using contemporary software engineering practices - SOA, Web Services, Messaging, Web 2.0 Portal, Distributed computing, XML technologies, to name a few.

We make sure that these systems are tested in a manner that satisfies our overall systems uptime need while providing outstanding service experience to our customers; so our ability to precisely test and validate application requirements and achieve high-quality goals is critical to our success. There are organization wide initiatives challenging the Test professionals to look for opportunities delivering higher value, convenience and performance of applications in every project release.

To meet our business challenges, we use modern tools and techniques for Software Verification and Validation process. Our testing processes focus heavily on the upfront detection of non-conformance to requirements using static testing aids and backed by robust test strategy and planning process. In order to meet the throughput time challenges, project commitments and assure repeated cycles of validation, we extensively leverage automation in testing. We seek every one of our test professional to practice automation with industry best and open source tools. Extensive cycles of functional, performance Load & Stress Testing are performed using industry standard tools like WinRunner, Quick Test Pro, Selenium, Test Director, Bus Tester, LoadRunner, JMeter, UNIX and Perl Scripting. We do this as a team, where continuous learning is a routine.
